I'm 5'10" and I'm almost 200 pounds, I don't look obese at all, but I live in Hawaii so when I'm in my bikini I just look huge. I guess I just need to do more cardio but I hate running, anything I can doo???
Ahhh, Hawaii, BEAUTIFUL!
According to this ideal weight calculator, you could be anywhere from 135 - 175 and be a healthy weight for your height, depending on your frame size. So if you don’t want to do cardio, try things you do like. Swimming, Yoga, Pilates, Tennis, Volleyball, Walks. You don’t have to run. Do anything you like. Combine cardio with a little strength training and eating properly, you’ll see changes in your body!
on pinterest? I haven’t posted anything on pinterest, but i get this question a lot. i’ve been meaning to add a link, i’ll get around to doing it eventually. for now, these are all the arm related work outs on my blog. and is this the arm before and after you saw? if so, you can find out how she did it on her blog.
just wanted to let the anon know that you should just throw your scale out the window, there are other ways to track your progress, eg. measuring your inches. the scale isn't always correct, it doesn't always tell your real mass, for example I know that our bodies can hold up to 5 kg of shit... just saying.
very true, thanks for sharing! if you have to weigh yourself, once a week is good.
i’m surprised so many of you are up right now. 6 am EST!
To the anon on Day 16 Insanity: Good work! Most people cant even go two days! I read in a lot of instanity reviews that in the first month, they are prepping you for the next level. As soon as month 2 comes along I swear to you the weigh LITERALLY FALLS OFF YOU! Good luck on your journey. Just wanted to give some motivation and hope :) xo
insanity anon (thats what i’ll call you), look at how amazing everyone thinks you are :) thank you!
to anon~ i'm 5'2" and 240, you've got a bigger head start than me so don't beat yourself up and keep up the great work! maybe only weigh yourself once a week? concentrate more on how you feel than what a scale says
yes, i second that! weighing yourself once a week is definitely a good idea. that’s what i try to do as well. focus on your non-scale victories! :) we all start somewhere, but the important thing is that we start! i was 275 lbs! keep going!
So I've been trying to lose weight. I'm 5'4 and 180 pounds. (I know, disgusting). I've been doing insanity (on day 16 today), and before I was trying really hard to be healthy, even calorie counting. I've noticed some change in my body getting smaller (not by much) and the scale has maybe moved like 2 lbs. I'm contemplating stopping eating. Help :(
Not disgusting! I think you’re amazing. Insanity is no easy task! Day 16!! That’s awesome! I’m seriously impressed. You know, sometimes I have those days, or weeks too. I’m eating right, I’m being active. And my weight just won’t budge. I strongly feel that you’re most likely building muscle, and perhaps losing inches. I take a break for a day, then I switch things up, drink more green tea, make sure I’m eating enough, drinking enough water. BUT for goodness sake, KEEP EATING! <3
