The Poon Diet

The Dr. Poon Diet
If you want a cleanse to rid your body of toxins, and/or water weight, or if you just want to see the pounds fall off slightly faster than usual, the Dr. Poon diet will work wonders. Like I said, its not a miracle, but stick to it for 2 weeks, you’ll see and feel a big difference. This is great for everyone, but it isn’t easy. It’s a lifestyle change.

This diet reduces sugar, salt, fat, and starch intake. It focuses on what you eat, rather than how much. It has three phases, but for now, we’ll focus on phase one.   

Phase one:
low fat, low carb, low sodium, low sugar

You can eat an unlimited amount of… 

Lean meats, ensure there is as little fat as possible (remove excess skin and fat):
Chicken
Turkey
Beef
Fish
Egg whites (you may have a max of 6 whole eggs/week)

Vegetables:
You can eat as much vegetables as you like, with the exception of onions, tomatoes or potatoes.

Eat more green leafy vegetables for best results.

Other:
You can have unlimited diet sodas (like coke zero, etc)
Unlimited amounts of artificial sweetener.
Unlimited amounts of half and half salt.

Foods to limit:
VERY limited amount of carbs (must be very low carbs, low sodium, low fat and low calories) but you can have some if you really need it. but you should get most of your carbs from the meats and vegetables.

You cannot have: 

Diary products (small amount of milk/light cream is allowed for tea):
Cheese
Mayo
Ice cream/Frozen yogurt

Absolutely no fruits, salt, or sugar for the first two weeks. 

There are many foods that you can eat, however, this phase is the most restrictive one.
